While Butternut was swinging this week we had the following conversation:
Butternut: Mom!!! Pushy, please?
Mrs. Macadamia: Sure
Butternut: You have baby belly?
Mrs. Macadamia: Hhhhuh??
Butternut: (a bit louder in volume) YOU baby belly???!!
Mrs. Macadamia: No, but it sure looks like it some days, huh?!
Butternut: Yes.
Then I broke out in laughter....he sure know how to win a smile!! My physique must be lacking this month. Boy, I think I need to work a little harder in the exercise department. Thanks Butternut for the reality check; I love your honesty!
hahaha whatever! i'd say "you look great for having five kids," but the truth is you, just plain ol' look GREAT! the fact that you had five kids and look as remarkable as you do is just over-the-top wonderment. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen you in about 2 years or more but I'd be willing to bet you look fantastic! And I couldn't help but giggle when I read this because just the other day, my friend (K) said she was told by a friend's little boy (who's 7): "You look pregnant." She was devastated. K's little girl turned 1 in May. Now K runs every morning. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnother scenario: My good friend from grade school was bending over the tub in a very pregnant state, and her then 3-yr-old, says, "Mama's got big butt cheeks."
My day is sure to come....
But in the meantime, someone should tell Cosby that kids are STILL saying the darndest things and the show MUST GO ON!
