I have finally started a Blog. To all those blogger accounts I have been reading, I salute you and your hard-work. I honestly never, EVER thought I'd actually want to start writing my own blog. It just never interested me to share my thoughts to the world. You may be asking, "why now." Hm, good question. First, I think it will help inspire my scrap-booking hobby. With 5 beautiful little nuts in our family, I hardly have time jot down a simple note on the calendar to remind myself of the date a first tooth appears or falls out of their mouth, let alone schedule a doctor appointment. So, I am (positively) hoping that this blogging stuff will help me put a firm grasp on more of our memorable moments during our crazy days of life in our house full of little nuts.
Let me introduce to you our house of nuts. Our little nuts in chronological order are as follows; Hazelnut, Almond, Walnut, Butternut, and Peanut. My lovely hubby will be referred to as Mr. Lugnut. I, myself, can be called Mrs. Macadamia. Our current status of a typical day starts at 7:30 when all five little nuts gather around the kitchen table for breakfast. After, they are all cleaned up and ready for the day Hazelnut (2nd grade) and Almond (Kindergarten) start school work with me. A couple times a week, I send Walnut off to Speech class. He has a blast learning with his preschool buddies. During the school time, I am busily playing with Peanut, Walnut, and trying to keep Butternut out of trouble while teaching subjects to Hazelnut and Almond. Then, I look forward to serving lunch and putting Butternut and Peanut to bed for their naps. The afternoon is full of physical activity for everyone. When the clock strikes 3:30 its time to wake up Mr. Lugnut. This is usually done after I make sure his coffee is a brewing. Everyone is so excited to wake Mr. Lugnut! Sometimes, Butternut goes to wake him as soon as he sees me making his coffee! Then, the evening is filled with love, laughter, yelling for food (ha, ha, just the little nuts that are starving!), dancing, singing, reading stories, and game time. I must say it gets crazy during many minutes of the day; however, I think for the most part I have some awesome little nuts to keep our days busy and me out of trouble! That's it in a nutshell.
i love all seven of you nuts! and i LOVE the blog! welcome, welcome. i think you'll find it easy and fun to track the milestones via blogger. and i, for one, cannot wait to hear all about them

ReplyDeleteADDENDUM: I forgot to mention that as a member of Blogville, it is required of you that if you read someone else's blog, you MUST leave a comment. (or maybe this is just my rule?) You will soon come to discover, that if you don't have comments, you feel an urge to cry. (or maybe that's just me also?) LMBO!
